What is an Auto-Responder?

An auto-responder is a powerful tool that stores the information of everyone who has ever put their name and e-mail on an opt-in form on your website.
A quality auto-responder allows you to be able to send out E-mail messages, online flyers, videos, notices, specials on offers, and just about anything you can come up with to communicate with your contacts, and so much more, with just the click of a mouse.

I’m going to keep it simple though without elaborating, so if you’re not familiar with what an auto-responder is, you’ll get the picture.

Once someone’s information gets in your auto-responder, you have the option to be able to send out a series of messages that you can set up in advance, and on auto- pilot. Now, you are dripping responses to people automatically, thus the name “Auto Responder”.

An auto-responder is the heartbeat of any business. The information in your auto-responder or data-base is your future fortune.

Once someone inquires about your business, they might buy right then, or they may not. Without their information being stored in your auto-responder or data-base, you are at risk to have a  potential future customer slip right through your fingers, and may possibly never see them again.

This is unfortunate, because you created your website, you figured out a way to drive someone to your website, and you failed on the third and most important step, which is capturing them as a lead for life.

By having them stored in your data-base, you will never lose that contact. You are now in the position to correspond with them and build a relationship with that person.
Now you have a good chance of them buying from you next time, even if they don’t buy what you have to offer right then. It’s an accumulative thing that happens over time that exponentially could make a huge difference on your bottom line.

I’m going to give you a few different business scenarios that an auto-responder could be used for, and some ideas on how to get people to want to give you their information.

Online Network Marketing
Once you have driven traffic to your website, you should offer something of value to them in the form of a free offer that they can only get by opting into your auto-responder on your website and inputting their name and address, and in some cases, their phone number.
The reason I said that is most people are uncomfortable giving out their phone number because they don’t want to be pitched over the phone. You will have more success if you leave the phone option out.
Once your auto-responder has been populated with their contact information, you could send them a series of free information that could help them in their business, of course, automatically.
By doing that, you are building a relationship with someone who is appreciative of the free value you are giving them. The value is usually in the form of tips on the proper steps to help build their business.

You can then, or should suggest a marketing tool that they can purchase to implement what they learned after the free tutorial. Of course, you would set up an affiliate account for every tool that you suggest. When they buy, you would then receive a commission on that sale, usually on the average of 40% of the cost of whatever they buy.

Front-end them with Free value to them. Build a relationship with them as someone who has something to offer them, with no strings attached, and they may think about joining you in your business opportunity.

Either way, it’s a win – win situation, and a few good things could happen.

1) You’re building your data-base.
2) If they don’t join you in your primary business, you could still earn money selling them affiliate products to infinity.
3) They may join you in your business opportunity at a later date.
4) You could still make money from the people who won’t join you in your primary business.
5) And you have the capability to drip them information as to why they should re-consider joining you in business.

What if you have a traditional business…

Let’s say a Pizza Parlor... Why would you want an auto – responder to build you a data–base for that?
First, it’s an inexpensive form of advertising to a very targeted market of people, who already like pizza, or they wouldn’t already be in your data–base.
I talked earlier about giving them free value to give them a reason to enter their name and e-mail on your autu responder. Now, what Free thing you could offer them, that they would like, if you had a Pizza Parlor?
How about a Free slice of Pizza, or a fountain drink…

You could ask for their name and e-mail to send them updates on future fundraiser events. Possibly have products for sale to promote your cause, such as tee-shirts, with the revenue going toward your foundation or cause.
An auto-responder is very inexpensive to have, especially for what it can do for your business.

Congress

Congress has passed a bill to give homebuyers another three months to close on their home loans and receive tax credits up to $8,000. The bill applies ONLY to homebuyers who met the April 30, 2010, deadline with a signed contract to purchase a new or existing primary residence.

The bill would extend the deadline to September 30, 2010, for homebuyers to close on their real estate transaction. The previous deadline was June 30, 2010. President Obama is expected to sign the measure into law.

The National Association of Realtors estimates that as many as 180,000 homebuyers who met the contract deadline of April 30, 2010, may be affected by the extension. They will now have additional time to close their transactions.

Even for those people who may not qualify for the home-buyer tax credit, there is still a tremendous opportunity available through the combination of low home prices and historically low interest rates.

There have been mixed messages in the media as to when home values will begin to level off and then start rising in value again. Some lead us to believe that the decline is over, and that now is the time to buy. I’m not totally sold on that, but there is validity in purchasing soon, to lock in a low interest rate and take advantage of possible tax credits.

As far as home prices stabilizing, here are my feelings on that. Last year a moratorium was put in place on limiting the amount of foreclosed homes available for sale, and only releasing just enough homes to begin drying up the inventory. With a limited inventory of homes to choose from, it would create a supply and demand situation and stabilize continuing falling prices.

This seems like a reasonable idea, but if you look at the big picture, it only becomes a band aid. The public may have had a limited amount of homes to shop for, but that hasn’t stopped homeowners from walking away from their homes and dropping them back in the arms of the banks.

There are thousands upon thousands of homes that are not even on the market yet, and when the damn breaks, the market could get flooded again, driving down prices even more.

We could speculate for days on this subject. The truth is no one knows where all this is going. If you are shopping for a home, maybe you shouldn’t get greedy for a better deal. The prices are lower than they have been in years, and the interest rates are awesome.

Just know that if you buy, it’s possible the value may drop a little more. But if you love the house and make it your home, and live in it, than it really doesn’t matter.

If you’re a seller, yeah, you can’t get what you could have got seven years ago for your home. But if you hold out for a better time to sell, you may be waiting for quite a long time. The good news is, if you are going to re purchase another home, whether you are downsizing of upgrading, you will be picking up the difference you lost from your sale to a good buy on your purchase.

Yankee Stadium, Old and New

Do you love Baseball? Do you love the New York Yankees? Whether you love or hate the Yankees, if you know anything about the game, and are honest, you have to admit that the NEW YORK YANKEES are the most famous professional baseball team in the history of the game.

I ‘m guessing this blog will appeal to Yankee fans more than Boston Red Sox fans, for obvious reasons. I will be sharing stuff about other baseball teams in future blogs, but much of my content will be about the legendary New York Yankees.

I live in California, but was born in New York, and have been a Yankees fan since I was at a pre little league age. Living so far away from Yankee Stadium, I didn’t get a chance for many years, to fulfill one of my lifelong dreams to see the Yankees play in their legendary, Yankee Stadium.

When I found out that they were tearing down the legendary stadium, to build a new one, I was confronted with a dilemma. Do I try to get to the historic old stadium before it closes down for good, or do I wait until I am able to see a game in the New Yankee Stadium?

Well, I could always get the chance to see the Yankees in the new stadium, but I would never get another chance to be in the Old stadium where so much history was made with legendary players such as Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Lou Gehrig, Yogi Berra, Roger Maris, Reggie Jackson and Don Mattingly. I could go on and on, but you get the point.

So I decided that I had to get to the old stadium before it closed down. My wife, Connie and I, purchased tickets and flew to New York and caught a game in the final week of the existence of Old Yankee Stadium. When we walked into that stadium and saw the field that I had been dreaming about seeing since I was a child, I got Goosebumps and my eyes welted up. I knew right then, that the decision we made to be at the Old Yankee Stadium was the right one and as Priceless as it gets.

I couldn’t have asked for a better game to attend. In the bottom if the first inning, the Yankees had loaded the bases. Alex Rodriguez stepped up to the plate, and hit one out of the park for a Grand Slam. Three hours later the game was over, and the mighty Yankees had won. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending.

That put a close to that chapter of history, but a chapter that I will never forget.

Last season was the Yankees first season in the New Yankee Stadium, Which from what I’ve heard and seen is the most impressive stadium in baseball today. The Yankees made it to, and Won the World Series in their 1^st year in the new stadium.

And now, their 2^nd year in the new stadium, they are currently in 1^st place approaching the All Star break and the end of the first half of the 2010 season.

The Yankees will give us new memories at the New Yankee Stadium, and I am looking forward to going back to New York, walking into the New Yankee Stadium for the first time, and being part of the new history and memories the New York Yankees will provide.

If you read the “About Me” page at JoeLoFreso.com, than you saw that my original weight was 8 pounds and 6 ounces.  I will never aspire to get down to that weight  again, but nevertheless, I do have my work cut out for me to shed some weight, and I’m going to be sharing my journey with you in future blogs.

I have never shared personal information of this nature, with anyone, friends or family. But I feel that writing this blog will keep me accountable, and may help some of you, as well.

In the blogs to come, I will be talking about a variety of things, ranging from the latest and greatest ideas on weight loss, health risks, mindsets, food choices, tips on what healthy choices are available at fast food restaurants, food combinations that help in the speeding up of metabolism in the body, or anything and everything that I feel could be of value to you and myself.

One subject we will be touching on is the mindset of going on a Diet vs. creating a Lifestyle Change. There is one thing on that subject that I feel is obvious. People want what they can’t have. And as soon as they start on a Diet, they begin to crave things that they can’t have, or are not included in that diet, that they would not have craved, had they not started the diet.

Did I confuse you? Look, it’s this simple.  The word Diet makes people feel like something has been taken away from them. This is a form of deprivation in their mind. Lifestyle change is psychologically a smoother thing to deal with. The rationalization is, all I’m doing is making better choices with what I put into my body.
